Suzan (Sam) Miller

In her current role of Governance Director, Responsible Development and Innovation at Google DeepMind, Sam leads the Emerging Impacts Team, focused on proactive insights on future model capability to guide the ethical and responsible creation of artificial intelligence.

Sam is also a co-founder of the GDM Impact Accelerator—building on Google DeepMind’s technology and expertise and creating solutions that unlock AI’s potential to solve some of humanity’s greatest challenges.  

Prior to Google DeepMind, Sam worked in the tech industry for 25+ years, including a number of leadership roles, including General Counsel, Intel Capital; Vice President and Corporate Secretary, Intel Corporation. Sam is also a long standing board member for the Silicon Valley Law Foundation.
