Emily Askri

As the Community Manager at Team4Tech, Emily manages the development and engagement of the Team4Tech Community of Practice (CoP), a global network committed to advancing education through technology and evidence-based practices. She organizes virtual events, drives collaboration among education-focused NGOs and partners, and oversees the platform’s technical infrastructure to ensure a smooth and efficient user experience. Emily builds meaningful connections within the community, helps members access valuable resources, and provides continuous support to create a dynamic, collaborative, and impactful environment.

Emily has over a decade of experience in workforce development, including supporting refugees resettling in the U.S. Through program development and training initiatives, she has helped hundreds of individuals gain the skills needed to secure employment and thrive in new professional environments. Her passion for creating inclusive learning and career development opportunities drives her commitment to fostering strong, supportive communities  Additionally, she brings significant experience working with an education-focused NGO in North Africa, where she taught both adult and youth learners, developed a community library, and coordinated a youth scholarship program. 

Emily earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. In addition to her work at Team4Tech, Emily serves on the board of a nonprofit dedicated to helping caregivers re-enter the workforce after career breaks. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband and son and enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and reading.
