Content Director
Remote (Worldwide*)
The Content Director will play a key role in managing and evolving Team4Tech’s Community of Practice in line with broader organizational strategies and growth. This position focuses on ensuring the quality, relevance, and responsiveness of Team4Tech’s CoP by managing strategic content development, updating existing content as needs evolve, and overseeing the CoP’s operational functioning. Key responsibilities include setting overall content strategy, serving as content thought leader and expert, and researching, developing, and curating engaging content related to technology for education and employability. The Content Director will also take on overall oversight of planning, tracking, and analyzing content engagement, working with the CoP Manager to set posting schedules and utilize feedback from member surveys to inform improvements. The Content Director will serve as Team4Tech’s content expert in the CoP, using a centralized account to post quality, evidence-based content and toolkits in the community. Finally, they will provide occasional support for backend CoP operations, such as member admissions and responses to questions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Content Director is a critical leadership role responsible for articulating, implementing and managing Team4Tech’s content development strategy to maximize impact aligned with our mission and vision as described in our theory of change. The Content Director will report to the Chief Program Officer (CPO).
Responsibilities will include:
- Orientation and Coordination (10%)
- Carry out onboarding meetings, review Team4Tech strategies, guidelines, and workplans related to the Community of Practice, sign up for and explore the CoP structure and content, join selected CoP events as an observer, and become familiarized with the technology tools used to manage the CoP.
- Join weekly Program team meetings, All-Staff meetings, check-in meetings with the CPO, and other recurring meetings as relevant to the role; hold one-on-one meetings with the CoP Manager and other team members as needed.
- Content Strategy, Quality Assurance, and Thought Leadership (5%)
- In line with organizational goals and monitoring and evaluation frameworks, review and update Team4tech’s overall content strategy, including areas such as the goal, objectives, and target audiences for the COP; the standards for content quality, evidence base, and content updating in line with EdTech trends; the approach to tracking participant engagement and feedback and growing the membership of the COP; and the approach to localizing content for different regional audiences and languages.
- Review and internalize Team4Tech’s existing content quality guidelines; track application of the guidelines and support team members to utilize them effectively; recommend updates to the guidelines where experience in the CoP suggests it is necessary.
- Serve as Team4Tech’s thought leader on content strategy, design, and alignment with external trends in our sector. Prepare think pieces, blogs, reviews of CoP evidence and experiences, and other externally-facing communications materials. Serve as the Team4Tech content expert in the CoP through a centrally-managed account on the platform. Represent the organization at relevant external conferences and events.
- Content Development (60%)
- Track global events, publications, and research related to technology for education and employability to identify potential new content for the COP.
- Coordinate with the CoP manager and the regional content managers for Africa, Asia, and Latin America to ensure cohesion across content that is shared globally and in the regions, “localize” and cascade global content to the regions, and use regional content to inform what is posted globally.
- Develop new content for the CoP based on content strategy and guidelines. This includes at least one tech tool post per week and one resource related to the other key areas in the guidelines.
- Research/test edtech tools before sharing. Create short demo videos describing the tools and how they work when appropriate.
- Review existing CoP content (including toolkits and other course materials), identify recommended updates, and update the content as needed. This will include expanding upon existing toolkits to ensure that they are suitable for use as train-the-trainer resources.
- Develop new training courses and toolkits for the CoP on topics to be determined.
- Content Planning, Tracking, and Analysis (20%)
- Work with CoP Manager to manage content posting timelines to ensure content is as relevant as possible to other conversations happening in the CoP.
- Ensure the content planning and tracking calendar is being used effectively as a planning tool across teams.
- Work with the CoP Manager and regional content managers to ensure adequate coordination of regional and global posting to avoid overlap and confusion of content.
- Analyze data around levels of engagement with CoP content, courses taken, and certificates earned in the CoP; identify and implement strategies to increase engagement where needed.
- Work with the COP Manager in designing, deploying, and analyzing periodic surveys of COP members to identify feedback and areas of improvement.
- Other Responsibilities (5%)
- Periodically fill in for the CoP Manager, when needed, on general CoP operations, such as admitting members, answering member questions, etc.
- Attend to periodic operational tasks (e.g., HR, finance) as related to the role and to organizational processes and systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Academic Qualifications
- A master’s degree in Education, EdTech, Instructional Design, or a related field.
Relevant Experience
- International Experience: Familiarity with education systems in lower- and middle-income countries preferred, including an understanding of how education standards and delivery systems vary globally.
- Teaching & Training Experience: 8-10 years of experience as a classroom teacher, teacher trainer, and/or curriculum designer in K-12 education (or international equivalent).
- Community/Content Role: Previous experience supporting a Community of Practice (CoP), online community, a content-focused platform/website, or similar.
- Content & curriculum development experience: Experience in developing instructional materials, courses, or toolkits, especially for an edtech-focused audience.
- Tool Testing & Review: Demonstrated experience in researching, testing, or reviewing technology tools (ideally EdTech).
- Administrative Support: Experience in overseeing basic administrative and operational functions of a CoP is desired, such as managing member intake, answering FAQs, or maintaining online resources.
Key Knowledge and Skills
- Subject Matter Expertise: Thought leadership and expertise in technology for education and employability, and current global trends, publications, and research in the international EdTech space. Knowledge of the state of the art in using AI to enhance education and employment globally.
- Content Management Systems: Knowledge of the principles and tools used for managing online content, learning management systems, and online community platforms.
- Content Creation & Curation: Ability to develop clear, engaging, and guideline-compliant content (posts, articles, courses). Skills in using AI tools for content creation are a plus.
- Research & Analysis: Ability to independently research, vet, and synthesize information on EdTech tools and trends.
- Video Production: Skills in creating short demo videos to showcase technology tools.
- Data Tracking & Reporting: Ability to analyze and report on engagement metrics (e.g., course completion, post views, certificates earned).
- Organizational & Planning: High proficiency in managing calendars, tracking tasks, and organizing workflows (e.g., tools such as Asana, Salesforce).
- Collaboration & Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with team members, participate productively in meetings, and potentially interact with CoP members.
- Writing Skills and Editorial Standards: Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and editorial standards.
- English Skills: Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
Team4Tech is a remote-first workplace. All roles are remote full-time, with the expectation that the employee is willing and able to travel periodically to meet partners and attend conferences and internal meetings. Work hours will be based on your location; however, there will be required weekly recurring meetings that may fall outside standard working hours in your location. This role assumes 10 – 20% international travel.

CONSULTANCY OBJECTIVES
As Team4Tech expands our organization and global partnerships, we are seeking to expand our Latin America & Caribbean Regional Hub with a Regional Hub Management Consultant based in Central America, to support and grow our portfolio of NGO partners in Latin America.
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
The consultancy is open to candidates based in Central America. Work will be performed remotely with an anticipated 6-8 weeks of regional travel per year. With prior authorization from the Team4Tech supervisor, reasonable travel expenses will be covered by Team4Tech.

ACTIVITIES AND DELIVERABLES
- Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing among Latin American education-focused NGOs by managing Team4Tech’s online Community of Practice channels dedicated to Latin America, creating localized edtech content, sending newsletters, organizing bimonthly meetings/workshops, and other initiatives that may come up by identifying members’ needs.
- Plan and facilitate online training cohorts for NGO educators and staff that foster peer collaboration, knowledge sharing, and exchange of best practices among NGOs.
- Onboard new NGO partners, identify their needs, keep them informed and engaged, and follow up on the impact of our interventions.
- Support logistics and planning for onsite corporate volunteer projects with NGOs in Latin America, in coordination with Team4Tech’s Program Directors.
- Source new potential NGO partners in the region during recruitment and application processes, and socialize Team4Tech’s online Community of Practice to education-focused NGOs across the region.
- Represent Team4Tech in regional edtech forums to raise awareness of our work and facilitate relevant partnerships with edtech organizations and leaders in the region.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Team4Tech internal teams to analyze program data and generate insights to inform broader organizational inputs, including reporting, strategic planning, and program development.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- A bachelor’s degree is required, and a master’s degree in education, edtech, international development, public policy, etc, is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of educational technology, with practical experience in educational settings and under-resourced contexts
- Ability to network and collaborate with existing and potential NGO partners.
- Knowledge of local cultural landscapes and the ability to navigate different cultures respectfully.
- Proven leadership and collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary team environments.
- Ability to develop contextualized, evidence-based resources for a regional audience.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and executing outreach strategies.
- Skilled in building relationships with key decision-makers in the education technology and global development sectors.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Expertise in navigating complex deals with multiple stakeholders using a consultative approach.
- Ability to analyze program data for strategic decision-making and impact assessment.
- Experience in managing or creating content for an online community or a content-focused platform/website is preferred.
- Language skills:
- Spanish and English proficiency are required.
- Portuguese is preferred.
CONSULTANCY TERM
An estimated 30 hours per week for a term of 12 months with the possibility of renewal. The time allocation and consulting fee will be commensurate with experience.
