Africa Regional Hub Manager

Remote, Flexible Location (preference for Nairobi, Kenya)

ABOUT TEAM4TECH

Team4Tech envisions a world where all learners have equitable access to quality education for better employment and economic opportunities. We are a global impact accelerator supporting education-focused NGOs to leverage digital technologies and pedagogical practices to ensure that learners are building the skills they need for quality employment.

Team4Tech’s accelerator programming contributes to UN SDG 4—to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Using evidence-based practices that promote education for employability, our accelerator programming, co-designed with community-based and education-focused NGOs operating in low-resource environments, includes:

  • Access to facilitated regional hubs (in Africa, South Asia, Latin America & the Caribbean, and the USA & Canada) for localized collaboration;
  • Access to a robust, global online Community of Practice to engage with free education and technology tools, workshops, certification courses, learning cohorts, and other resources;
  • Access to skilled volunteers and educational resource partners to deliver pro-bono capacity-building projects; and
  • Access to funding, amplification, and coaching to further promote NGO sustainability.

Our work is scaling through 2027, from building capacity for 50 nonprofits annually to supporting 850+ nonprofits that directly serve tens of millions of learners in under-resourced contexts worldwide.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As Team4Tech expands our organization and global partnerships, we are seeking to grow our African Regional Hub with a Regional Hub Manager to support our portfolio of NGO partners in Africa. The Africa Regional Hub Manager will report directly to the Africa Hub Director and will work closely with Team4Tech staff in the United States.

Specifically, the Africa Regional Hub Manager will:

  • Assume the role of account manager for Team4Tech’s strategic NGO partners across Africa, providing customized support over our long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with Team4Tech’s global NGO partners to define program goals, sustainable educational technology project plans, and well-defined evaluation metrics for teaching and learning impact. Many of the NGOs are in rural areas with limited access to technology, so low-bandwidth and mobile-first platforms are often prioritized.
  • Plan and deliver online courses and trainings to NGOs in Team4Tech’s  Community of Practice.
  • Facilitate regional learning cohorts that foster peer collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and best practice exchange among NGO partners.
  • Support strategic NGO partners through: boosting engagement in Team4Tech’s online Community of Practice, organizing quarterly regional hub meetings, leading local training workshops; identifying and troubleshooting technical issues that arise; supporting monitoring and evaluation data collection and report writing; and conducting monthly check-in meetings with in-region NGO partners.
  • Source new potential NGO partners in the region during recruitment and application processes, and socialize Team4Tech’s online Community of Practice to education-focused NGOs across the region.
  • Represent Team4Tech in regional ed tech forums to raise awareness of our work and facilitate relevant partnerships with edtech organizations and leaders in the region.
  • Support logistics and planning for onsite pro bono projects in Africa, in coordination with Team4Tech’s Program Directors.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to analyze program data and generate insights to inform broader organizational inputs including reporting, strategic planning, and program development.
