Improving Cybersecurity in the United States

Only 25% of about 1.2 million low-income, first-generation college enrollees will attain a quality first job or go to graduate school. That’s nearly one million college students every single year who are not on a path to maximize their potential.

The mission of Braven is to empower promising, underrepresented young people – first-generation college students, students from low-income backgrounds, and students of color – with the skills, confidence, experiences, and networks necessary to transition from college to strong first jobs, which lead to meaningful careers and lives of impact. By partnering with large public universities who are working to innovate, Braven builds cutting-edge career education into the undergraduate experience, provides students with a network of supporters and sense of belonging, and becomes a systemic solution within and across universities to fuel a generation of leaders as diverse as our future demands.

In partnership with Team4Tech, four corporate volunteers from PureStorage will be virtually supporting Braven. Leveraging the Puritans’ skillset, Braven will improve their organization’s cybersecurity and find less expensive, more efficient data warehousing and analytics tools.

This project will greatly impact the productivity of Braven’s staff as well as their annual 2,000 students.
